Flamingo Razor

I'm reviewing the Flamingo Razor and adding a bonus! My DIY sugar scrub for a silky smooth shave.

Leave your skin feeling exfoliated, soft and moisturized with this razor and sugar scrub combo.

I strongly disliked buying razors before I found the Flamingo Razor. Every time I would go to the store, all the razors were on lockdown! I'd practically have to give my social security number and a down payment enough for a new car in order to get a new razor. Then, only to be disappointed when I finally used it.

I always thought razors were so expensive, irritating and not made with a woman in mind. Women often have more surface area they shave, delicate and sensitive areas that cheap razors make it torture to endure.

So believe me when I TRIED to find a flaw in this razor...but couldn't! This German-Engineered Five Blade Razor is my new favorite. I was actually looking forward to shaving my legs ha!

To make sure I had the best experience, I also used Flamingo's Foaming Shave Gel and my famous sugar scrub. First, exfoliate your legs with the sugar scrub, rinse off with warm water, apply the Foaming Shave Gel, and shave. Repeat (yes, repeat) and you will have the smoothest shaved legs you've ever had.

Here's how the sugar scrub is made:

DIY Sugar Scrub

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups of sugar: white, raw or brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup of oil (olive oil, almond oil, grapeseed. You can also use coconut oil, just have it melted for mixing)
  • 2 TBSP Lemon Juice
  • A container of your choice with a lid

Directions:

  • Mix together two cups of sugar and a 1/4 cup of oil and lemon juice.
  • Slowly add the remaining oil until you have a nice soft consistency that is soft but not too oily (You may not need all of the oil).
  • Scoop the mixture into a jar: I like a mason jar for a hand scrub or a plastic container for in the shower.
  • Store for up to three months in an air-tight container.
  • Rub on dry and tired skin to freshen. Gently scrub skin and then rinse with warm water.
