Baby Kaplan Baby Shower

Here's a look at a very special day for me and my family...my baby shower!

My baby shower was an amazing day filled with laughter, family and friends. I was blown away by all the incredible decor, food and special touches around the house. It was hosted by my gracious mother-in-law who has this wonderful eye for everything beautiful. Even down to the party favors, she has such a great sense of what just "works."

Games

Now, don't be intimidated or turned off by Baby Shower Games. I strictly said, "Nothing gross" like guessing what kinds of melted candy bars were in diapers. I also wanted guests to feel comfortable and relaxed, so no chugging from bottles.
I thought the games were fun, entertaining, and kept everyone engaged.

Guess How Many Kisses

I really liked this passive game. Guests could fill in their guess at any time before the answer was revealed. Best part, you don't have to think super hard at this one. Plus there's a sweet treat in the end for the winner.

Diaper Raffle

It's no baby shower unless you have a Diaper Raffle. It's easy! Stated ahead of time on the invitation, we asked people to bring a package of diapers to be entered into a raffle for a prize! That gets people motivated to help mom and dad get a head start on their diaper stockpile.

Guess the Baby Food

This game was tough! Who knew there were so many different types of baby food! For this game, without tasting or smelling, guests got to guess what was in each jar of baby food. Fun and nutritious

Price Is Right

I think we leveled the playing field a little here with guessing the prices of these common baby items like: lotions, wipes, detergents, etc.

Food and Drinks

Depending on the guest list, you may choose to have alcohol or not provided at your baby shower. We had a "Mom-mosa" Bar setup for guests to make their own beverages, but also provided plenty of other refreshing beverages.
