What Stroller is Best for Me?

How to choose the right baby stroller for you.

It can be intimidating searching for the right baby stroller. There are a few different kinds, so here's a breakdown of each of them.

Joggers

If you're a mom on-the-go, you may want to invest in a jogger. Like it sounds, these beasts are great for almost any terrain. One downside is that they're not usually light-weight (some being more than 30 pounds without a child in it!), bulky, and a big investment if you don't find yourself needing this kind of performance.
But, if you're in the market for one, I recommend the BOB Revolution Flex Jogging Stroller. This jogger is suitable for children from 8 weeks old up to 75 pounds! So it'll last you a long time.
Air-Filled tires also make a huge difference in smooth rides. We have a stroller with plastic wheels and it's one bumpy ride!

Lightweights

Looking for something a little lighter and not so "off-roady?" Lightweights are travel-friendly, compact and the name speaks for itself weighing in usually under 12 pounds! You might not be able to hike a mountain with one of these things, but they offer plenty of storage, easily fold up and are convenient for day trips. The Kolcraft Cloud Plus Lightweight Stroller has a large canopy, easy one-hand fold, reclining seat and is affordable!

Pram

Talk about your classic! I picture that scene in Gone With the Wind where Rhett Butler and Scarlet are walking their baby down the street. The design is more of a bassinet on wheels. So if you're planning on long strolls and a long-term stroller, this option would be best for you. The Roan Rocco Classic Pram Stroller 2-in-1 with Bassinet and Seat Unit can be used for newborns all the way to 3 years old! That's a lot of use! But it lacks in maneuverability since the wheels do not swivel and if it breaks, these things are not cheap. But if you like the classic design, and a great snoozing option for baby, this would be your perfect stroller

Standard

This stroller is what we have and is great for cruising around town. The Chicco KeyFit Caddy Frame Stroller is designed exclusively for the Chicco Keyfit Infant car seat. So if you're also looking for a car seat, this is what I have and recommend. I like that the stroller is less than 12 pounds, that the car seat can easily click into place and folds up nicely to store in the trunk of my car. When I was shopping for strollers I wanted something I could easily handle on my own. There's a ton of storage underneath too! I unfold the stroller, put my diaper bag in the bottom, and then click the car seat into place. It is convenient, light-weight and affordable! Perfect for strolling the aisles of Target :)

Tandem

Obviously if you have two children, you'll be wanting something to carry them both it. I think if I had two babies, I would prefer the option to have one child in front of the other, rather than sitting next to each other. It's hard enough getting one stroller through the door, how would I manage getting a side-by-side through? But that is also an option

  • Side-by-Side
The Joovy Scooter X2 Double Stroller can fit through standard doors, reclines, and can still easily fold up!

  • Double Stroller
The Chicco Cortina Together Double Stroller is probably what I would find myself investing in, instead of a side-by-side. These are a little heavier, but that's to be expected.
