I live in North Carolina, and this hurricane really made things hectic around here. Initially, I was not worried about Hurricane Florence until I started watching the news. We live pretty far inland and I didn't think we would have a hard time. I prepared like I would any other storm coming our way. I went to the store, stocked up on a few pantry/household items, water, etc. Apparently, so did everyone else. 

I had to go to three different stores just to find a single bottle of water, so I loaded up. We supplement with Enfamil Gentlease baby formula, and we use bottled water to make it. So I freaked out a little bit and asked my husband to check other stores for water too. We finally found some, but turns out the storm that passed us was not really that bad...like I originally thought. We got rain, some wind, but two days of that and the sun is already out.

My son, Ryan, is soooo close to rolling over (intentionally, that is). He's also interested in all of his toys. I work with him every day on little exercises to help his coordination and strength. And to help with all of those things, we decided to buy the Skip Hop Activity Center. He can't sit up by himself unassisted yet, so I'm hoping this will help him reach that milestone. We're also on the hunt for something to place Ryan in for naps while we're downstairs. He quickly outgrew the bassinet and changing table attachment on his current Graco Pack 'n Play Playard. I like the changing table attachment, but he's getting too heavy for it, and even though I can lower the bassinet to the bottom of the pack n play, getting him in and out of it will be difficult.
