What I'm Reading
What am I reading these days?
I used to follow a blogger who would post the next book she was reading every month, and I miss it since she stopped posting. Today, I'm sharing with you what I'm currently reading.
Betty Crocker Cookies: Irresistibly Easy Recipes for Any Occasion
I enjoy baking, so it was a no-brainer that I purchased and am loving this book. The first recipe I made was a classic: chocolate chip cookies. Be aware that some of the recipes are "Big Batches" and by big, I mean BIG! Otherwise the recipes are easy to follow, there's a range of recipes for each skill level and so far every recipe I've made has been delicious. I downloaded the kindle version so I can read it on my ipad for convenience

The Montessori Toddler
I wanted to take a new approach to the way I was parenting with an old way of teaching and interacting with toddlers. I'm definitely in the beginning stages of learning the Montessori way, but it's helped me to take a step back and discover how capable Ryan is of a lot more than I give him credit for. This style of teaching is not for everyone, but it's an interesting find, and a great book to revisit anytime I have questions.

What to Expect the Second Year: From 12 to 24 Months
This book is always on my nightstand. I like to reference this book a lot, and I especially will be for the next couple years of Ryan's life too. It's handy for lots of toddler questions I have and since I read the "first book" of what to expect while I was expecting, I appreciate the transition and graduation so to speak.
