What's In My Diaper Bag Today?
What's In My Diaper Bag Today?
Here's an update to what's in my diaper bag. I've definitely downsized a bit, and changed some of my must-haves since Ryan's gotten older.
Fawn Design Diaper Bag
My original diaper bag started to rip, and the shoulder straps weren't keeping their tension, so we had to make an upgrade a couple months ago. I love all the storage with our new bag, it's functional and easy to clean. I prefer wearing it as a backpack, but it can also be worn over one shoulder. The coral color I chose was on sale, and looks like it's been discontinued.

Portable Changing Pad
This is still a must-have in our bag. I get grossed out thinking about where Ryan would be lying down during a diaper change if I didn't have this. In a pinch, I've just changed Ryan in the back seat of my car where I have a diaper caddy with supplies. But if you can't always do that, this is slim and light-weight to always keep with you.
Wet/Dry Bag
This really came in handy over the summer when Ryan had his ISR Swim Lessons. I could easily throw his wet clothes and diapers in the bag without getting everything else wet. I keep in on me all the time too for those unfortunate blowouts that always seem to happen at the most inopportune time.
Munchkin Weighted Straw Sippy Cup
We've tried lots of sippy cups, but these have been our favorite. I like them especially for leaving the house because the top covers the straw and have never had them leak in my bag. Ryan got the hang of using a straw cup right away, so we bought a few. They are BPA Free and dishwasher friendly, which is a win-win for me!

Reusable Snack Bag
Oh my gosh, heaven forbid I ever leave the house without refilling our snack bag. I try to make a kid friendly "trail mix" of snacks in this. Usually will include yogurt melts, dried fruits or cheese crackers. This is my emergency go-to in case I'm out a little longer than anticipated, or need a quick toddler refocus. Ryan and his cousin definitely recognize this bag too, and get excited if they see it, because they know it's always full of goodies.
Fat Brain Toys Dimpl
Get this toy. Enough said. No seriously, this is the best toy. It's so easy to clean, small enough to fit in any bag, and great toy to have away from home because it's just one piece. Sometimes I'll throw a sturdy book or another toy in my bag too if I think there will be a need for distraction. Otherwise, I love having this in my bag.
Bentgo Children's Lunchbox
I don't have it pictured here, but we got this lunchbox during the holidays and I was so excited! I was always packing a meal up for ryan in like 5 different containers, then stuffing it in another bag and it was just too much. These leak-proof, portioned lunchboxes are perfect for meals on the go. I've taken them with me to the park, to a friend's house, and restaurants and it's been great! It's also microwave AND dishwasher safe!
Minus a few things like lip balm, hair ties and my water bottle, these are the essentials that I make sure to have with me whenever I leave the house.
